2012 hunting

Friday, January 06, 2012
Hi there hunters, Happy New Year and all the very best for your 2012 outdoor adventures!  This year promises to be a great year with game booming everywhere.  La Nina has visited us once again here in the South Pacific.  Across this region of the world at the present a fantastic growth environment exists with plenty of water via regular rains and ample summer feed is available to game.  In the Northern Hemisphere mild winters are being experienced in Canada to date, which hopefully continues as that will maintain a booming deer and elk population.  Typical cold winters there can drastically increase mortality rates in these species, so with this presently mild winter it is anticipated that our Canadian hunts will be fantastic in 2012.  This is a great time to sharpen your archery and shooting skills on the lesser known animals which can provide tonnes of fun and also serve as a training session.  We have some new special deals on some very exciting hunts, which are listed on our Specials page - check them out.  Please feel free to contact Predatours anytime, we are only too happy to have a chat and to help organise any outdoors adventure you are interested in.  Once again, happy New Year from Predatours.

Victorian Alps tour

Friday, December 16, 2011
Hi there adventurers,  we just got back from hosting another high country hunt/fishing trip in the Victorian Alps.  The welcomely cool summer this year provided nights requiring a campfire and provided solid nights of sleep between jaunts into the hills for Sambar.  Although the swirling winds made sighting unalarmed Sambar difficult, several were put up from there beds in the midday.  The fishing was spectacular with numerous large fish being caught in the many nearby streams.  The largest being a 49cm Rainbow trout, which was smoked and consumed with some refreshing sundowners at dusk.  It is a great time to be in the bush, with unusually cool summer weather.  We have several new specials which have just arrived and posted on our specials page - which might make a nice Christams present!  From all of us here at Predatours, have a great Christmas and a great 2012.
